Thanks for sharing how you made the map! I've since started create the contents in vector format, and created scalable image files for the symbols. Its looking pretty good now, but just not sure how far I can push it given its not my map originally (mearthmap) or originally-originally (Tolkein) .. I should start working on a follow up post tho huh! Maybe I am complicating this more than it needs to be.Joe Bickleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04105368429549849113noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6162400926758531325.post-49792994944676052282012-07-04T10:30:51.977+12:002012-07-04T10:30:51.977+12:00Hi Tim, this post was from a little while back now...Hi Tim, this post was from a little while back now, from what I understand about geocoding, is that its much like typing it in to the google maps website, the geocoding will take the first returned value from the address search. the only thing you can do is check the point and adjust your address query if it returns the wrong location, I dont remember it being that automated. one thing to note, is that google fusion tables are now integrated into Google Drive, the new version of Google documents.. I'm running Chrome internet browser so its all pretty seemless. Good luck with it!MelBrooks.NZhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07797876526217442295noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6162400926758531325.post-82360902797950352902012-07-04T09:29:15.630+12:002012-07-04T09:29:15.630+12:00This is proving very helpful for me. For example, what happens if you have 123 Main St, and there are both 123 E. Main St and 123 W.
