I've never had real time up and running, but would love to give it a go.

I was wondering if it could really be an alternative to the Trimble GEOX(M,T,H) in NZ

This year Magellan rebranded (?) as Ashtech apparently this Mobile Mapper 100 wont be available for a few months even if you order right now so it is brand spankin.
Ashtech have developed their "Ashtech Blade Technology" which opens up to a variety of GNSS input sources and is Galileo ready Yay
